Whether you work in fast food, the military, pro sports or some other industry you wear a uniform. Many schools require them. Heck, even wearing a shirt, tie, and slacks to the office could be considered a uniform.
Uniforms are important. Wearing a uniform indicates you are part of a team – that you belong. Perhaps wearing a uniform can even make you feel like you are part of something bigger than yourself.
My grandkids love “collecting” jerseys of former and current basketball players. I think they may have a few football jerseys as well. They wear them proudly and love bragging when the player has a great game. The boys even try to emulate the player’s moves on the court.
I own one jersey – a Chicago Cubs jersey. I wear it only on “special occasions” or when I think wearing it will boost the teams mojo. The last time I wore it was for Game 7 of the 2016 World Series (which the Cubs won). I’m now hesitant to wear it for any other game than a Series game! I just can’t mess with the mojo of the jersey! Nope, ain’t gonna happen…

I’m still waiting (can’t decide on which one) to purchase a Chicago Blackhawks “sweater” or the Seattle Kraken. Who knows, maybe I’ll just get both. Until I decide, at least I was given a Blackhawks hoodie for Christmas.
No matter what your uniform, don’t ever forget you are a valuable and important member of the team. You possess a unique skill set nobody else on the team can offer. Heck, that’s one reason you’ve been selected to be part of the team.
Wear your uniform proudly.
You’ve earned it!
