“Spare Time?”

There are 1440 minutes in your day. Sleep takes 480 of those minutes. Work takes another 480; which leaves 480 minutes or just 1/3 of your day!

But what about the time breakfast, lunch and dinner take? Let’s call it 60 minutes total; you’re now left with 420 minutes.

How many additional minutes do driving to & from work require? How many minutes do chores (cooking cleaning etc), homework, self-care, appointments, parenting and anything else use?

Hopefully by now, you see where this is going…

What value do you place on the minutes which truly make up your “spare time”?

Are these minutes any more or less valuable than the ones you spend without second thought to “get through the day”?

Have you ever thought about this?

Does it matter?

I know how I value my spare time.

How ‘bout you?

I love words & enjoy the freedom of writing. I strive to find the exact word to convey not only my thoughts, but also my feelings. I desire to fill the paper with words much the same way an artist fills the canvas with paint. To me, writing is an art form.
